exciting changes!

Hey fam!

Thanks to everyone who showed up and made our first Team Night an amazing night together! I’m so stoked for the good things ahead. Jesus first!! Let it be the center message of our collective shout as well as the core of our personal passion!

Here are some the highlights from the night:

Worship - you guys have the most amazing voices. Seriously, we could just worship the Lord with our voices and the angels would stop and listen to how beautiful the praises are to our King.

Game - The drawing on the white board game was fun and those drawings though! 😂

Food - Thank you to all who brought or made goodies! Deliciousness abounded. Homemade chocolate-filled croissants, homemade gluten-free brownies (seriously couldn’t even tell they didn’t have gluten in them), homemade coffee cake. Then the cookies, cupcakes, yummy cantaloupe, and fruit tray!

Vision - We talked about what team nights are, why we’re doing them, and how they will look like. We shared the vision of the church with our core values and staff values. We communicated who the directors are for masterclasses and positions. We clarified expectations for Sundays and the new call times. Finally, we talked through team night dates for the next few months.

The Details:

Team Night is the midweek gathering for our creative community of servant leaders. It exists to inspire, instruct, and involve—to connect leaders, build culture, and develop the gifts God has given each of us.

We are having team nights to make space for all of these teams to train and remind themselves of the why behind serving. We believe we have the greatest message in the world: the gospel of Jesus Christ - His life, death, and resurrection for us - so we serve with excellence and are willing to put in the effort to grow together.

Inspire with vision. We want to be so passionate about this message of the gospel that it’s contagious so we will be sharing our vision and values more often so we remember them and get inspired all over again.

Instruct with masterclasses. We’ll be having masterclass sessions during team nights to learn and grow in our craft and as a team. Examples of masterclasses include: how to run a sound board, how to flow spontaneously, basic terminology on lighting, etc.

Involve with opportunities. Team nights are open to anyone interesting in joining a creative team. Also, we will focus on having people who are new to the team or growing in a specific area to lead us in worship and production on these nights. What better place than with a bunch of people who absolutely care about you and champion you!

1 Peter 4:10-11

As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
